At first, veterinarians who are interested in koala examined the causes why so many koalas died in recently. At that time, people thought the cause of koalas died was Chlamydia, which is one of the worst diseases. However, after examined the cause, researchers found the truth of koalas died. Actually, the causes of koalas died were not only Chlamydia but also bad effects of stressor. In addition, koalas are suffer from the destruction of their habitats, diseases, drought, forest fire, car crash, and attacks from pets. Therefore, the Australian koala foundation is trying to protect koala from these kinds of problems.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature has decided what koala is the endangered species since 2000. Also the government in Queensland in Australia decided what koala is one of the endangered animals in 2003. Obviously, the reason why they are becoming one of the endangered species are because of human beings. People should take care of koalas from a lot of problems more than before.

First, there are a lot of farms, houses, and factories in Australia. Also, these are trying to expand more or build more even though koalas don't have any forests to live in anymore. Moreover, people are cutting a lot of forests to use for many resources of daily needs. Thus, these are occurring environmental pollutions to the forests that koalas live in. Because of these happenings, day by day, koalas' habitats are getting smaller and smaller and koalas' death.

In addition, increasing with population in Australia is also one of the causes of koalas' death. For example, increasing with population comes a lot of car accidents. Therefore, koalas might be victims of car accidents. Moreover, increasing population connects with abusing koalas, and people make pollution such as throwing garbages, rubbishes and wastes, making rivers or lakes dirty, or polluting air. These are making koalas get diseases. In addition, most of people have dogs or cats for pets. They are also dangerous for koalas because dogs and cats might attack koalas. Therefore, the increasing number of people is also one cause of koalas' death.

Thus, decreasing forests for koalas living in, many koalas may live together in same forests because of decreasing their habitats. It occurs many fighting for their territory, and lacking food and trees for sleeping. Also, if the forest that many koalas live in were to catch on fire, these koalas would lose their place to live. The most serious matter is those problems make koalas feel too much stress. Too much stress makes koalas be easy to get disease, get sick and die.

In conclusion, those causes of koalas’ death are obviously because of people’s bad actions. Therefore, people have a duty to protect koalas; especially people have to protect koalas from accidents that occurred by human beings. If people weren’t make effort to save koalas, koalas will go endangered species to extinct species.

Reference:

The Koala - Endangered or Not? (1994). On

the other hand, most of countries allow drinking alcohol from age 18. In addition,

Japan and Iceland allow drinking alcohol from age 20. People might wonder why

only the U.S. forbids drinking alcohol until 21 and The United States should allow

drinking alcohols in age 18.

First, people might feel strange about drinking alcohol age is over 21 in the

U.S. because smoking cigarettes are allowed in age 18. Many people, especially

people from foreign countries may feel unusual for this paradox. Although both of

cigarettes and alcohols have bad effects for health, only alcohol cannot be allowed

in age 18. In Japan, people who are age under 20 are forbidden both drinking

alcohol and smoking cigarettes. Smoking cigarettes obviously have bad effects for

health more than drinking alcohol. However, people can smoke cigarettes earier

than drinking alcohol in the U.S. Normally, the U.S governments should have allowed

drinking alcohols in age 18.

Moreover, most of teen agers surely try to hide and drink alcohol because

they couldn't wait until age 21. Engs, a professor of Applied Health Science at

Indiana University in Bloomington, argues,"Raising the drinking age was much

worse than doing nothing"(qtd in Hanson,2005, p.2). Engs, explains, "On the other

hand, while fewer young people are drinking and their average consumption levels

have been dropping (along with that of the general population), more younger

people tend to drink abusively when they do consume. This change occurred after

the increase in the drinking age"(qtd in Hanson, 2005, p.3). Acutually, the problem

of teen agers' hidding and drinking make worse situations than other countries that

are allowed by their governments to drink in age 18. Therefore, the U.S government

should consider to change legal drinking age.

Actually, most of countries, their low set legal drinking age is in age 18.

Therefore, the U.S also should decide to change legal drinking age from age 21 to

in age 18. In "Legal Drinking Age", from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, states

that more than 60 nations allow people in age 18 can drink alcohols (2006). It

means people in age 18 have no problem to drink alcohol physically, and have

enough responsible to drink alcohol.

In conclusion, legal drinking age in the U.S is the highest age in the world. If

the U.S government conteniue legal drinking age should be in age 21, most of teen

agers obviously have stress, hide and drink, and get more troubles. In addition,

drinking has less specific physical bad effects than smoking. Therefore, the U.S

should change their legal drinking age from in age 21 to in age 18.

References:

D. J. Mostly, people can see koalas in Australia. In “History of Koalas,” from the website “Australian Koala Foundation,” says, “ Koalas or koala-like animals probably first evolved on the Australian continent during the period when Australia began to drift slowly northward, gradually separating from the Antarctic land mass some 45 million years ago. Fossil remains of koala-like animals have been found dating back to 25 million years ago ”(1994, para.1). In Australia, there are many species but they are also endangered species. Koalas also one of the endangered species in Australia. These days, people focus on environment on the earth so they try to save endangered species from any factors of death. In addition, koalas are actually very easy to feel stress. For example, when you hug koalas, they feel stress. Moreover, when they got too much stress, they would get deadly disease. Those stressors are very familiar with human activities. At first time, veterinarians who are interested in koala examined the causes why so many koalas died in recently. At that time, people thought the cause of koalas died was Chlamydia, which is one of the worst diseases. However, after examined the cause, researchers found the truth of koalas died. Actually, the causes of koalas died were not only Chlamydia but also bad effects of stressor. In addition, koalas are suffered from the destruction of their habitats, diseases, drought, forest fire, car crash, and attacks from pets. The International Union for Conservation of Nature has finally decided what koala is the endangered species since 2000. In addition, the government in Queensland in Australia decided what koala is one of the endangered animals in 2003. Obviously, the reason why they are becoming one of the endangered species are because of human beings. As you notice, people, government, and their law must protect koalas from many accidents.

The first major reason of decreasing koalas is destruction of koalas' habitats. There are a lot of farms, houses, and factories in Australia. In addition, these are trying to expand more or build more even though koalas do not have any forests to live in anymore. In “Interesting facts about koalas ” the author states, “Each koala’s ‘home’ is made up of several trees called HOME TREES. They visit these same trees regularly. The area covered by these trees is called the koala’s HOME RANGE. Each koala has its own home range, which overlaps those of other koalas but except for breeding purposes, they do normally not visit another koala’s home trees. The size of each home range depends upon a range of factors including the quality of the habitat and the sex, age and social position in the population of the koala”(1994, para.6). Thus, decreasing forests for koalas living in, many koalas may live together in same forests because of decreasing their habitats. It occurs many fighting for their territory, and lacking food and trees for sleeping. In addition, if the forest that many koalas live in were to catch on fire, these koalas would lose their place to live. The most serious matter is those problems make koalas feel too much stress. Too much stress makes koalas be easy to get disease, get sick and die.

The second reason to according koalas die is a sort of lacking education about koalas. Koalas are suffered from car crash and pets' attacks. In “Threats to the Koala ” the author says, “When habitat is cleared for roads, and housing estates, cars and dogs become a serious threat to koalas. Over 4000 koalas are killed each year by cars and dogs” (1994, para.4). Actually, koalas are one of the noctual animals so, they move actively at nighttime. Therefore, car drivers need to drive carefully and slowly at nighttime. In addition, the pet's owners should know koalas’ behaviors. In “Dogs, cats and owners’ rights.” The author states, “ Dogs have all day to play, and tend to do most of their exercise when you take them for a walk. At night, when koalas and other nocturnal wildlife are most active, your dog is better off close by your side. By restraining dogs at night, many attacks can be avoided” (1994, para.16). The author of “Dogs, cats and owners’ rights.” also says, “Most dogs feel threatened by the sight of a koala in their yard and will naturally attack to protect their territory” (1994, para.14). Most of people do not know what koalas are nocturnal animal, so it occurs those accidents. To protect koalas, people should get knowledge for koalas. Moreover, the government also should let people notice koalas' behaviors.

Third, people have to let koalas avoid any diseases. People cut trees and destroy koalas’ habitats. Moreover, they build factories, farms, and houses where they destroyed koalas’ habitats. Besides, they pollute around those areas with scraps, polluted water, or dirty things. Those things are causing of koalas’ disease. As you know, koalas have a deadly disease, which is Chlamydia. In “Threats to the Koala” the author states, “There are 4 common koala diseases caused by the chlamydia organism: conjunctivitis which can cause blindness, pneumonia, urinary tract infections and reproductive tract infections, which can cause female infertility. The symptoms of chlamydia manifest as sore eyes, chest infections, and "wet bottom" or "dirty tail.” Chlamydia is harmless in populations with unlimited resources, but manifests in times of stress, which happens when habitat is reduced. In disease-free populations which have been moved to areas where they were not native or where there is not enough habitat to support them (such as on some islands off Victoria and Kangaroo Island in South Australia), problems with overpopulation have arisen because of this unnatural situation” (1994, para.4). The causes that koalas get disease are not only pollution but stress is also cause of getting disease. At first, people have to make effort to take koalas away from any stressors. For example, people should try to live separate from wild animals’ living areas. Moreover, people should better to plant trees to expand koalas’ habitats. It would solve the fighting of koalas’ territory.

Last, the government of Australia should put a strong law to protect koalas. Some part of Australia enforced the law to protect the endangered species. However, other part of Australia don't enforce yet. In addition, those laws to protect koalas are not enough effective. For example, there is a law to protect only koalas. However, that law doesn't protect the koalas habitats. Thus, people could make roads into the forests, and live in the forests very easily. Those problems occur the car crash, and pets' attacks. However, according to the author of“TheAUSTRALIANKOALAFOUNDATION”(2004), “The National Koala Act is a law that theAustralian Koala Foundation would like to see enacted to provide greater protection to thespecies. This new law would aim to protectkoalas and their habitat by: focusing on the protection of koala habitat, not just koalas; provide incentives and participation bylandowners to protect koala habitat; make a significant contribution to a nationalkoala recovery program, and set a precedent for other species - specificlegislation”(p. 5). If those law would spread out whole part of Australia, the endangered species might be well protected. Therefore, the government should put a strong law for protecting koalas immediately.

In conclusion, most of reasons that koalas died are because of human activites. And those activites are effecting koalas to get too much stress. Thus, those stress occur koalas to get deadly diseases and die. First of all, people need to make effort to take koalas away from stress. The most important things are not only taking care of endngered species also making good relationship between human beings and endngered species such as considerating species and releasing from fear of human activites. Therefore, for koalas, people shoud make effort to save them all the time.

References:

Threats to the Koala. (1994). Give an example and I explain it. Afterward, I tell what the most important thing is.
In case of person who got the terminal cancer, a doctor told him about his life. The doctor said that he wouldn’t be able to live enough time any more. Also he said ha his life has limit b six months. However, he had never lost his fighting spirit. Then, he could live until three years. For example, getting married, getting divorce, some natural disaster and taking a TOEFL. There are three steps of reacting to stress. It calls the general adaptation syndrome. The first step is people begin to feel aware of stressor and the physical or mental response is the alarm reaction. After that will come the next step of resistance. This behavior, people also other animals try to adapt the stressor or to escape from it. If they don’t succeed in this step, they would break down or collapse. This physical and mental damage calls the exhaustion. In humans, these stress reactions are mostly cause by negative emotions; also some stressful situations give serious emotions of fear, or anger. In animals, also they feel stress cause of frustration, or some negative emotions as same as human.

Roma/Gypsies

I talk about Roma/Gypsies.
